Tips for Ordering Valentine's Day Flowers

Updated: Jan 10, 2021

Choosing the Best Flowers:

Consider the recipient, if your Valentine is very traditional, you can’t go wrong with the classic roses. However, for a less traditional Valentine, you might consider tulips or a modern design with protea. Not sure what to order? Give us a call we’ll be happy to help!

Order Early:

We'd love it if you placed your order a week or more before Valentine’s day. This will allow us to set a side the perfect flowers for your order. Waiting until the last minute could mean limited availability and choices. It is especially important to order your flowers at least a week early if you less traditional blooms in mind for your order.

Have your flowers delivered early:

Valentine’s day is a busy day for us florists and our delivery teams. We will deliver all day to get everyone’s orders out on Valentine’s Day - your flowers could arrive anytime of Valentine’s day between 9am and 5pm. Consider having your flowers delivered a day early so that the recipient can enjoy them for all of Valentine’s day. Better yet have them delivered a few days before the holiday and before the shop gets crazy busy.

Shop Local:

When you order your flowers locally, you are ordering directly from the designers who will be making your floral arrangement. We will care more for and appreciate your order more than a call center somewhere. When you place an order with a 1(800) company they will farm out the order to another florist after taking a percentage of the money that you paid for the flowers. We could go on and on about this but trust us…buy your flowers from a local florist.

Floral Subscriptions:

Looking for a unique flower gift? Consider a floral subscription! Bella Bloom offers floral subscriptions with customizable frequencies and subscription lengths. Starting with Valentine’s flowers, your recipient will receive months of beautiful vase arrangements. Each bouquet varies and will contain the season’s best blooms with a focus on seasonal and local blooms. Send us an email to create a custom floral subscription for your Valentine or just on to our online store to purchase our three month floral subscription.
